Band of the Hills has elected board members as well as appointed positions. In addition to the time already spent in rehearsals and performances, board members volunteer time to:
- Ensure the mission and purpose
- Manage finances
- Secure concert and rehearsal locations
- Maintain partnerships with other community bands
- Web and social media management
- Maintain music library
- Promote the band in the local community
- Secure and maintain sponsors
- Maintain and coordinate equipment
- Maintain a well-documented history of the band
- Comply with government requirements
- Overall management of the band’s business
- Retrieve coffee during lengthy rests….or maybe not.
