Leadership

Band of the Hills has elected board members as well as appointed positions. In addition to the time already spent in rehearsals and performances, board members volunteer time to:

  • Ensure the mission and purpose
  • Manage finances
  • Secure concert and rehearsal locations
  • Maintain partnerships with other community bands
  • Web and social media management
  • Maintain music library
  • Promote the band in the local community
  • Secure and maintain sponsors
  • Maintain and coordinate equipment
  • Maintain a well-documented history of the band
  • Comply with government requirements
  • Overall management of the band’s business
  • Retrieve coffee during lengthy rests….or maybe not.

This season’s elected board members are:

  • Secretary – Nik Duque

  • Section Leader “Leader”/ Directory Admin – Rene Barron
  • Librarian – Jeff Rodgers
  • Assistant Librarian – Anne Thayer
  • Equipment / Property Manager – Tiffany Sharrard
  • Archivist – Victorina Tolen
  • Social Media Coordinator – Matt Hernandez
  • Webmaster – Tony Joe Morales
