Spring Concert

Sunday, May 5th, 2019, 3:00pm,

Hill Country Nazarene Church, 1750 Bagdad Road, Cedar Park

We have an exciting concert lined up with a wide variety of genres: a circus march complete with clowns and trapeze artists; a musical celebration of the natural scenic beauty of the famed Swamp Rabbit Trail in South Carolina, a joyous romp of rhythm and harmony; an original composition by our very own Mark Slater which celebrates his love of Broadway musicals;  the peaceful and heartfelt Shenandoah, inspired by the freedom and beauty of the folk melody and by the natural images evoked by the words, especially the image of a river; a musical depiction of biblical history when almost 350,000 men came together, armed for battle, determined to make David king over all Israel;  a toe-tapping, 1920’s rag of fun, old-timey adventure featuring solo Xylophone; then we close out the show with a medley of Ray Charles tunes and highlights from the Broadway hit musical, Le Miserables.
